Their comprehensive model-based approach allows a single unified model to perform complex analysis on hierarchical large-scale systems across all disciplines of electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, software and process control and perform critical behavior analysis (FMECA's and FMEA's ala MIL-STD 1629), testability analysis (ala MIL-STD 2165), Design For Testability (DFT), and TRD and TPS development. We pioneered the concept of Multi-Signal Functional Dependency Modeling and have created unprecedented capabilities for combining both Functional and Failure Mode information in a single model.
Our tools also feature a one-of-a-kind importing engine capable of importing structural CAD net-lists from EDIF, ViewLogic, Mentor, Cadence and most other leading CAE engineering tools. Once imported, the structural information is automatically enhanced with Functional Dependencies through the use of our high-speed functional propagation engine. Once propagated, diagnostics can produce a wealth of Detection, Isolation, Replacement and Life-Cycle Cost statistics.
We are also excited to be moving towards Automated Networked Diagnostics with the introduction of our new JAVA export function. This capability allows diagnostics engineered with our eXpress tool to be fielded with a simple export. Specific Testing algorithms are easily linked in to make this capability useful for anything from simple IETM's to fully dynamic embedded on-board fault analysis.
